The Magic of V
Impossible things, inches from your eyes. Thirteen years as house magician at Capo's Speakeasy — bringing that same Old School Vegas mystery to corporate events, weddings and private parties across Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
See It Happen
Real Rooms. Real Reactions.
You can't describe close-up magic. You can only watch what it does to a room.
Twenty-four seconds
Watch the faces, not the hands. That's the whole job — the moment a room of adults forgets to be composed.
More footage, including full close-up sets and a reactions reel, lives on the GigSalad profile alongside the reviews.
The Performer
An Actor Who Does Magic
No stage. No smoke machines. No assistants. Just a deck of cards, four decades of practice, and whatever you happen to have in your pockets. The magic happens three feet away — close enough that you'll watch the secret happen and still miss it.
V grew up in Maine, learned improvisational comedy and close-up magic in Florida, ran his own show at Sleuths Mystery Theater, and spent years in Los Angeles building a reputation for doing live what most people assume is a camera trick. For the last thirteen years he has been the house magician at Capo's Speakeasy in Las Vegas.
Locals, tourists, skeptics, the occasional celebrity — the room doesn't care who you are. The repertoire was built where the audience sits close enough to catch you, and he never gets caught.
Performances
What V Actually Does
Strolling close-up magic, a seated parlor set, or mentalism that turns your whole room into the act. Tailored to the occasion.
Corporate Events
Conferences, trade show booths, hospitality suites, holiday parties. Strolling magic breaks the ice between strangers faster than an open bar — and stops people walking past your booth.
Weddings
Cocktail hour is where receptions sag — that's when the magic hits. Guests get astonished table by table while you're off taking photos, and the energy carries into the reception.
Private Parties
Birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties, dinners, milestone celebrations. An intimate parlor show or roaming close-up set that makes your room feel like a speakeasy for the night.

I highly recommend V for any event that you would need a magician. We had him perform at our tradeshow booth. He communicated well before the event, was punctual and his performance was excellent. You won't be disappointed.Erin W. • Trade Show • Feb 2026

He had the entire room laughing and at the same time, in awe with his tricks! He was up-close and personal, and we still couldn't figure out how he did what he did!Peaches B. • Family Reunion • Sep 2024
Holding 18 seventeen-year-old girls' attention for as long as you did is remarkable… and they all loved you! Thank you for being the life of the party.Leslie G. • Teen Birthday • Jul 2026

Before You Ask
Questions Worth Answering
What kind of magic do you perform?
Close-up sleight of hand, mentalism and mind reading, and comedy — performed within arm's reach rather than from a stage. No illusions, no assistants, no smoke machines. It's the kind of magic that happens in your own hands, which is why people remember it.
How big a room can you work?
Strolling close-up works for rooms of 20 to 500 — I move table to table or group to group, so the room size matters less than the time available. A seated parlor set works best under about 60 people.
Are you insured?
Yes — $100,000 standard liability coverage, which puts me ahead of most entertainers on the booking platforms. Venues and corporate clients usually require a certificate of insurance and I can provide one on request.
How far in advance should I book?
For Las Vegas convention weeks and December holiday parties, 30 to 90 days is ideal — those dates go early. Outside those windows I can often accommodate much shorter notice. Always worth asking.
Do you travel outside Las Vegas?
Yes. Los Angeles is a regular second market and travel is built into the quote rather than added as a line item. I travel up to 300 miles for events.
What do you need from us?
For strolling magic, nothing — no stage, no sound system, no lighting, no setup time. For a seated parlor set, a spot where everyone can see and a microphone if the room is large.
Is the material appropriate for a corporate audience?
Yes. Clean by default, and I'll match the tone to the room — a client dinner and a holiday party after two hours of open bar are not the same brief. Tell me which one it is.
